History of the Psychopedagogical and Sociohumanistic Sciences chair
In 1991, the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology was established within the National Institute of Physical Education and Sport. The first head of the department was Vasile Cojocaru, in the years 1991-1995, doctor in pedagogy, associate professor. From 1995-1996, the head of the department was appointed Valentin Zbârciog, senior lecturer. During this period, highly qualified professors were active at the department: V. Cojocaru PhD in pedagogy, associate professor, I. Râşcă, P. Postolatiev, Valentin Zbârciog, etc.
Subsequently, in 1996, the Chair of Pedagogy and Psychology merged with the Chair of Theory and Methodology of Physical Education and Sports, being hereinafter referred to as the "Chair of Theory, Pedagogy and Sport Psychology". The head of the department for three years was A. Budevici, PhD of history. And from 1999 to 2002, S. Danail, PhD in pedagogy, university professor, worked as head of the chair.
In 2002, the Chair of Humanities took over the pedagogical and psychological field represented in the university by the following disciplines: pedagogy, history of pedagogy, general psychology, age psychology and sports psychology, thus forming a new department "Chair of Psychopedagogical and Socio-Humanistic Sciences". The head of the chair was named Ion Râşcă, doctor of historical sciences, associate professor. Over the years, the activity of the department was provided by Mihail Rotaru, dr. habil. in history, university professor, Ion Sandu, PhD, university professor, Ion Râşcă PhD in pedagogy, associate professor, Calugher Viorica, PhD in pedagogical sciences, associate professor, Svetlana Goncearuc, PhD in pedagogy, univ. professor.
The purpose and objectives of the chair
The basic objective of the chair’s activity lies in the multilateral training of future physical culture specialists, cultivating their knowledge in the fundamental disciplines in the field of education, psychology and socio-human sciences. This is achieved by:
implementation of modern educational technologies in the teaching-learning-assessment process: flexibility of the study program; the way of organizing/structuring the content of the disciplines, of a course/seminar meeting, the quality, the accessibility, the actuality of the communicated information, the application of the heuristic methods in combination with the classical ones, the degree of interactivity in the relationship with the students; the degree of adequacy of the seminar topics to the course topic, the degree of promptness in communicating the results of the current evaluations of the students; the degree of assurance with necessary materials, adequate to the didactic activities, the degree of methodical assurance of the study process, etc.
* elaboration, experimentation and implementation in the study process of the Analytical Programs and Disciplinary Curricula;
* modernization, elaboration, experimentation and implementation of course support for the taught subjects;
* optimizing the scientific research activity of the chair members;
* capitalizing on non-formal ways of education, student circles, scientific sessions of students, etc.;
* promoting the general human and national values within the didactic activity of the teachers and the educational one realized by the curators of academic groups.
The purpose of the Chair is to form and develop a system of general and specific skills, which ensures the professional-scientific and methodical training of the graduate in education, psychology and socio-humanities, able to plan, design, implement and monitor the quality of services provided.
The technical-material base of the chair
The technical-material base of the chair corresponds to the requirements of ensuring the efficient process of instruction - education and scientific research. It currently has its headquarters (office 335, in the central block), which is equipped with a computer (connected to the internet) that serves for information processing, a multifunctional printer (Lexmark), a laptop and 1 telephone number. At the same time, the chair has a scientific-methodical laboratory (office 328, central bl.), Which supports the instructive process and the research activity at all levels. It comprises the technical means in the amount of 1 computer, 2 laptops, 2 video receivers, 1 TV, a printer, telephone.
The didactic and scientific directions of the chair
The basic directions of scientific research over the years have been:
• Professional pedagogical training of specialists in the field of physical culture.
• Physical culture in the pre-university and university education system.
• Basic and performance sports physical culture.
The achievements of the chair
Over the years, the Chair of Psychopedagogical and Socio-Humanistic Sciences has initiated a series of activities on improving the quality of the educational process within SUPES:
Projects:
• The project "Child-centered learning" implemented with the support of UNICEF Moldova, under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, the members of the department conducted seminars for teachers from SUPES. The sessions took place between September 16-18, 2009 and December 17-20, 2009, September 16-18, 2010 and April 17-20, 2011, October 10-12, 2011, and November 5-7, 2011.
Scientific conferences of students:
• Current issues of physical culture theory and practice;
• Scientific-methodical dimensions of ensuring the educational process in higher education in the field of physical education and sports;
• Psycho-pedagogical and socio-humanistic aspects of ensuring the educational process in higher education in the field of physical education and sports;
• Physical culture and sport in contemporary society.
Scientific seminars:
1. International methodological-scientific seminar: "Increasing the prestige and role of women in sports";
2. National seminar: Judo for people with visual disabilities: current events and perspective;
3. International scientific-methodological seminar: Current issues regarding the improvement of the training of performance athletes in combat sports.
4. International scientific-methodological seminar: The social impact of the practice of martial arts on the young generation.
5. Scientific-methodological seminar: Martial arts - a traditional element in modern education.
6. Methodical informative seminar with OLSDÎ representatives, school managers, physical education teachers and coaches at various sports events with the title “Sustainable aspects of educational partnerships, SUPES, December 7, 2018.
