The training of the future teachers and coaches of physical culture in various types of sport is determined by the imperatives of the modern society, by the necessity of affirmation the university education of physical culture from the Republic of Moldova on the international level and its integration in the European and world university environment. The office of International Relations has as its objectives the internationalization of higher education in the field of physical culture and to ensure the quality of the didactic process through:
-promotion of efficient cooperation with educational centers from abroad;
-participation in international educational and scientific projects;
-arrangement of internships for SUPES employees in the university centers from abroad;
-creation of optimal conditions for studies, including M.A. and PhD for foreigners;
-organization of international scientific conferences, symposia, meetings;
-elaboration of transnational curricula, common research projects, multidisciplinary programs of an international character;
-revising the university curriculum of physical culture from the Republic of Moldova in order to adjust it to the dynamics of the international environment and in accordance with the principles stipulated in the Bologna Declaration;
-organization of the sports competitions and training camps.
The network of the international relations established by SUPES presumes the signing of agreements and common projects with higher educational institutions from abroad. The University has a long experience of collaboration with the university centers from Russia, Romania, Ukraine and Belarus. The relations with many institutions from Great Britain, South Korea, Poland, Spain, Canada have been also established.
At present, SUPES is a member of Higher Educational Institutions of Physical Culture and Sport Association from East European countries and Central Asia.
SUPES awards the title of Doctor Honoris Causa to people who have special merits in the development and promotion of national and international sport.
SUPES makes considerable efforts to extend and ensure the sustainability of international cooperation on the European and world levels. The International Relations Office intends to become a strategic centre in the process of internationalization within the university by promoting and supporting the international activities of the students, teaching staff, research workers, coaches and administrative personnel.
